The site is located between the Fort Worth Stockyards and Downtown Fort Worth. A 20 minute drive to Dallas Fort Worth Intl.(DFW) Airport, the site recruits from a local population of 1 million residents. The site continually meets and exceeds enrollment expectations thereby providing the much needed diversity element in today’s clinical trials.
Dr. Alex Guevara Jr, DO
Dr. Alex Guevara is the Principal Investigator in VIR’s Fort Worth, Texas location. He is originally from San Antonio, Texas where he graduated from the University of San Antonio with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology. He attended the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine.
He has practiced family medicine for the last 35 years. Dedicated to serving the Fort Worth Latino community, he has served several community roles including but not limited to: officer on the Board of Governors of the American College of Family Practitioners of the State of Texas, Board Trustee of the Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, and a Clinical Professor for TCOM/UNTHSC, UTHSC of San Antonio and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Guevara has also served as a Principal Investigator in numerous clinical trials across several therapeutic areas since 2003.
